In Los Angeles County, because of the continuing spread of COVID-19, there are rules that must be followed in public settings to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The rules outlined below are mandated by the LA County Health Officer Order and the City of Los Angeles Vaccine Verification Ordinance. On November 8, 2021, the City of Los Angeles launched SafePassLA, which requires proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination at various indoor and outdoor businesses, venues, and events in the City of Los Angeles. Note that establishments and event organizers can make their own rules in addition to the Public Health and city requirements.
